Altitudesassociatedwitharrivalproceduresare“manually-designated”.Thismeans
thesystemdoesnotusethealtitudesloadedwiththearrivalforgivingverticalight
pathguidance untildesignatedto dosoby thepilot.Notethatthesealtitudesare
initiallydisplayedaswhitetext.Thesealtitudesmaybe“designated”byplacingthe
cursoroverthedesiredaltitudeandpressingtheENTKey.Afterdesignation,thetext
changestolightblue.
Altitudesthathavebeendesignatedforuseinverticalnavigationmayalsobemade
“non-designated”byplacingthecursoroverthedesiredaltitudeandpressingtheCLR
Key.Thealtitudeisnowdisplayedonlyasareference.Itisnotusedtogivevertical
ight path guidance. Other displayed altitudes may change due to re-calculations
orrenderedinvalidasaresultofmanuallychanginganaltitudetoanon-designated
altitude.
