3.7.1 ICING
Unintentional flight into icing conditions
1. Leave the icing area (by changing altitude or turning back, in order to reach
zones with a higher ambient temperature).
2. Pitot heating ............................................................................................. ON

4. Air distribution lever ............................................................................ f(UP)
5. RPM .............................................................. increase, in order to prevent ice
build-up on the propeller blades
6. Alternate Air (DA 40 only) .................................................................. OPEN
6a Carburetor Heat (DA 40 F only) ........................................................... HOT
7. Emergency window(s) ........................................................... open if required
