PFD, MFD, AND GIA OVERHEAT

(a) PFD OVERHEAT caution

NOTE

The PFD is approaching its operating temperature limit. Display brightness

is automatically reduced to 50% of maximum.

1. Cross check PFD attitude, heading, altimeter, and airspeed with

standby instruments.

2. If PFD primary flight instruments do not agree with standby flight

instruments, or the PFD fails or is unusable, select Display

Reversionary Mode using the red DISPLAY BACKUP button on the

audio panel. Pull the PFD circuit breaker.

(b) MFD OVERHEAT caution

NOTE

The MFD is approaching its operating temperature limit. Display

brightness is automatically reduced to 50% of maximum.

1. Select Display Reversionary Mode using the red DISPLAY BACKUP

button on the audio panel.

2. Cross check MFD engine instruments and primary flight instruments

with the PFD. If the MFD does not agree with the PFD, or the MFD

fails or is unusable, pull the MFD circuit breaker.

NOTE

The PFD and MFD are both approaching operating temperature limits. The

brightness of both displays is automatically reduced to 50% of maximum.

1. Refer to standby attitude, heading, altimeter, and airspeed instruments

to maintain aircraft control.

2. If either the PFD or MFD fails or is unusable, pull the circuit breaker of

the affected device and select Display Reversionary Mode using the red

DISPLAY BACKUP button on the audio panel.

3. Land as soon as practical at a suitable airport.
