AVIONICS COOLING FAN FAILURES

NOTE

These caution messages are indicated when a cooling fan has failed. The

avionics may overheat, especially in hot temperatures.

(a) PFD FAN FAIL caution

ON GROUND:

1. Do not takeoff in night or in instrument meteorological conditions.

IN FLIGHT:

1. Monitor for PFD OVERHEAT caution message.

(b) MFD FAN FAIL caution

ON GROUND:

1. Do not takeoff in night or in instrument meteorological conditions.

IN FLIGHT:

1. Monitor for MFD OVERHEAT caution message.

ON GROUND:

1. Do not takeoff in night or in instrument meteorological conditions.

IN FLIGHT:

1. Minimize all COM transmissions to reduce temperature.

2. Monitor for GIA 1 and GIA 2 OVERHEAT caution messages.
