20. Using the FMS knob go to the GDU TEST page (Figure 4-16) on the MFD and PFD (part of the
GDU Page Group).
21. Verify the BKUP CAPS box is green indicating a passed test. If the BKUP CAPS box is red,
replace the GDU.

22. Reload the MFD and PFD to the currently approved system software version and reconfigure as
directed in Section 3.6.
23. Be sure that the user settings for the replaced display are cleared. Clear user settings by pressing
the CLR key on the GDU displays while applying power to it. Acknowledge the on-screen
prompt by pressing the ENT key or the right-most softkey.
NOTE
Loading test software 006-B0380-15 to the GDUs changes the GDU software version to
v7.10. It is required to return the GDU to the currently approved system software version
and configuration.
