6. Once an airframe type is selected the cursor moves to the FILE field. Rotate the small FMS knob
to activate the drop-down menu. Move the cursor to highlight the ‘DA 40 Option – Standard
GFC700’ or ‘DA 40 Option – Enhanced GFC700’ file and press ENT.
7. Press the CLR ALL softkey.
8. Using the FMS knob and ENT key, select the following files for the replaced servo position
(Pitch, Pitch Trim or Roll):
• SERVO SOFTWARE – software file
• SERVO GAINS – software file
9. Once the files are selected press the LOAD softkey.
10. When the upload is complete, press the ENT key to select OK in the upload complete window.
11. Verify that each column indicates in green when the loading process has finished and
inspect the SUMMARY window as well to ensure that the load is successful.
12. After the software and configuration files are loaded, turn off the system and remove the G1000
system software loader card. Reinsert the supplemental database cards in the bottom slot of each
display. Be sure to insert the card removed from the MFD back into the MFD.
13. Continue to the GSA 81 Testing section.
7.11.2 GSA 81 Testing
On the PFD, open the ALERT window and verify there are no GFC MANIFEST or configuration error
messages.
Perform the GFC 700 Ground Test Procedure in Section 8.3.
