13. On the PFD, go to the RS-485 CONFIGURATION page in the GIA Page Group (labeled CAN /
RS-485 CONFIGURATION for SW v0321.19 or earlier).
14. Verify that GIA1 is selected in the SELECT UNIT field.
15. Observe the data indicators for all configured RS-485 channels.
16. Verify all DATA indicators for configured channels are GREEN (green check), indicating the
channels are receiving data as shown:

17. Activate the cursor and select GIA2 in the SELECT UNIT field, then press the ENT key. GIA2
indications will be the same as presented in Figure 8-3.
18. Repeat Steps 15 and 16.
19. Backup path testing is complete.
