7. Pull the MFD circuit breaker.
8. While holding the ENT key on the MFD, restore power by closing the MFD circuit breaker.
9. When the words appear in the upper left corner of the MFD,
release the ENT key.
10. Press the ENT key to acknowledge the following prompt (NOTE: A softkey labeled YES appears
in the lower right corner and may be used in lieu of the ENT key):
11. The following screen is displayed.
12. When complete, the MFD starts in configuration mode displaying the System Status page,
perform these additional steps.
a. Turn off system power and remove the display from the MFD side and install in the PFD
side.
b. Reinstall the original MFD.
c. Turn on both displays in configuration mode by holding the ENT keys until the words
appear.
d. Allow the displays to initialize to the SYSTEM STATUS configuration page. This sets the
System ID number in the new display and copies the calibration backup files from the PFD
configuration module into the PFD.
13. Remove power from aircraft by placing the AVIONICS MASTER and BAT side master switch in
the OFF position.
14. Continue to section 3.5.6 to load airframe options, sections 3.5.9 through 3.5.14 to activate the
applicable features and to section 3.5.16 to load the applicable splash screen for the aircraft
configuration.
15. After the options and features are loaded as necessary continue to the PFD/MFD Testing section.
